AOE Services for Pharmaceutical IME and Compliance Teams
Case Study #1: Professional Development via CCMEP Training
Profile: A pharmaceutical IME team sought CME training for staff with diverse training needs and varied levels of CME knowledge.
Goal: Once the IME team’s training needs were determined, one being to prepare staff who intended to take the CCMEP exam, AOE tailored the AOE Prep Course to meet the identified needs. The Prep Course needed to provide necessary tools for those taking the CCMEP exam, and incorporate interactive sessions addressing knowledge gaps among additional team members utilizing the course as professional development training.
Results: Of those who took the CCMEP exam, a 100% pass rate was achieved. In addition, increased staff competency regarding CME compliance was measured.
Testimonial: Great course AOE – each member of our team who took the CCMEP exam passed! The training and study materials you provided via the AOE Prep Course were not only effective in preparing us for the exam, but served as excellent professional development tools for all of our employees. – U.S. Based Pharmaceutical Company
Case Study #2: IME Team Value Proposition & Demonstration
Profile: An IME team within a mid-size pharmaceutical company sought strategies to demonstrate CME value to senior management.
Goal: AOE worked with the IME team to identify strategies aimed at increased stakeholder dialogue within the pharmaceutical company in order to obtain key information about the company’s scientific platforms related to the therapeutic areas in which CME funding was allotted. With this information, our aim was to help refine the IME team’s grant review processes and outcomes metric collection requirements so meaningful data could be analyzed, summarized, and shared across activities funded by the company.
Results: The strategies developed by AOE helped the IME team demonstrate itself as strategic asset within the organization by allowing for tangible data to be generated regarding the value of CME support. In addition, the stakeholder discussions facilitated by the IME team helped increase credibility of the team and such discussions have now been scheduled to take place on a quarterly basis. The modified grant review processes provided increased documentation as to CME compliance efforts on behalf of the pharmaceutical company.
Testimonial: CME value proposition is something every IME team faces. Having tangible data to present senior management goes a long way toward establishing the IME team as an equal stakeholder group within any pharmaceutical company. AOE understood our challenges and was on target with tactics that resonated with our leadership. – U.S. Based Pharmaceutical Company
