No, self-attestation by the individual is not an acceptable mechanism to resolve conflicts of interest, as an individual cannot resolve his/her own COI(s). Completion of an attestation form is appropriate when managed by the accredited provider. It must be made clear by the provider to the individual, that due to his/her reported COI(s), which was deemed relevant, attestation is to be completed in order to resolve the relevant COI.
