A faculty member just released a book that would be a great follow-up resource to this accredited CE activity. Can he mention it during his presentation?

As part of ACCME’s Standard 2 commitment to preventing commercial bias and marketing in accredited CE, your faculty member can mention the book as a reference without promoting it.  In other words, a brief comment that he has a book that is available for continued exploration/study of the topic is fine, but he should not include promotional content like graphics, links to purchase, or pricing information within his presentation.
