A leader within the organization is providing the welcome/introduction for an annual meeting. Do we need to collect information about all financial relationships this individual has with ACCME-defined ineligible companies?

If the welcome/introduction is part of the accredited content (i.e., considered as part of the credit designation determination), then, yes, the accredited provider must consider the leader as an individual in control of accredited CE content and collect information about all financial relationships this individual has with ACCME-defined ineligible companies.  However, depending on the content of the welcome/introduction, it is possible that reported financial relationships may not be relevant.  Per the ACCME, financial relationships are relevant if the educational content an individual can control is related to the business lines or products of the ineligible company with which the individual has a financial relationship.
