Can our commercial supporter pay the event venue for our annual meeting? They agreed to cover this cost in our letter of agreement.

Commercial support can be used for a variety of legitimate costs associated with accredited CE.  However, according to Standard 4, you as the accredited provider must disburse all funds.  The grantor must provide the funds to you first and then you can direct them to the appropriate party, as specified/budgeted in your agreement.
