Do we have to integrate ACGME/ABMS competencies into our educational planning process?

In short, no.  The ACCME requires that providers take “desirable physician attributes” into account when designing accredited education.  With that said, “providers are free to recognize the competencies that are important to their own organization,” so you have some flexibility with the organizations and competencies that align best with your program and learner needs.  ACGME, ABMS, the National Academy of Medicine, and Interprofessional Education Collaborative are a few examples.
