For MOC activities, what should I do if the participant information in PARS does not match the learner information held by the specialty board?

PARS cannot confirm the participant’s identity if the participant data submitted via PARS does not match the information in their board record, and as such, they will not accept the completion record.  When this occurs, the provider will be sent an immediate validation error message either via PARS interface or the batch upload report.  It will be up to the provider to contact the learner to obtain the correct information and to subsequently correct it for successful submission.
