Are pharmacies considered ACCME-defined commercial interests?

The ACCME offers exemptions to several types of organizations, within the context of their definition of a commercial interest, but pharmacies is not one of these organizations, unless situated within a hospital.  To review the ACCME definition of a commercial interest and a list of the types of organizations excluded from this definition (e.g. hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, etc.), please click here.
