What requirements does the ACPE have for an activity’s learning objectives?

The ACPE requires that the provider develop objectives for each CPE activity that “define what the pharmacists and technicians should be able to do at the completion of each CPE activity.” (www.acpe-accredit.org)

The learning objectives are required to be:

  • Specific and measureable
  • Developed to specifically address the identified educational need (Standard 2)
  • Addressed by an active learning activity (Standard 7)
  • Covered by a learning assessment (Standard 9)

For more information about learning objectives, please visit the ACPE’s page dedicated to CPE Standards.
